Picking up my PGTS tomorrow. I had a 3m clear bra put on it since i do a lot of highway driving.

To round out my knowledge on how to keep the car clean, i was wondering if anyone had any tips on maintaining the clear bra. Saw on another thread that is important to clean of any bugs asap or they might stain the film. Also understand that high pressure hoses are a no-no.

I use clear bras extensively and I've taken care of them the same way I took care of the cars...wash, wax, condition. Yes, remove the bugs because what's in them can eat through almost anything...the plus side is that the clear bra provides an extra layer of protection to the car's paint from those substances.

 

I use the power washer on my car all the time. Just don't aim it 'at' the edge of the clear bra and you'll be fine. I even bought a leaf blower to dry mine off..

 

was told to just "wash" it by dealer
however had many and treat it just like the rest of the car seems to work best

in Florida love bugs really cause rapid damage and try to remove bug stuff as soon as ya can

Thanks for the advice everyone. I washed it it a couple of times already....and after waxing the entire car with a liquid Carnauba wax, it looks just dandy.
