tow hook license plate
Wondering which product I should go with. I live in Cali so I need to have front license plate and do not want to drill holes in my bumper so looking to getting a tow hook license plate holder.
following dealers I've found around the net
-USmillworks
-Roh-plate
-mower-axle
-Rennline
-gominigo
-platypus
-GMG
Don't care about price, I just want one that actually will work with the parking sensors. its a 2010 4S.
TIA

Good thread, I'm also in Cali but have not installed my front license plate yet. I've been lucky, here in the Inland Empire it's not a big issue with Cops, but in L.A. area you will get pulled over for it. Let me know what you decide on, and I'll do the same (after I get my first fix-it ticket)

In Brisbane, I haven't gotten looks from Cops but I wouldn't push my luck with DalyCity cops or some areas in mission with Broadmore cops.
Am planning to get one in the next 2 weeks though.

The lightened kit, they don't swivel. I only use mine when I got a ticket though to get it signed off.

scratch off Rennline off my list, they don't work with park assist. makes me wonder all these kits are pretty much alike? what determines if one works while the other doesn't with parking assist??? Since Mower, Millworks and Rhoplate has responded stating that it does. this is kinda confusing IMO.

I just installed the Platypus tow hook front plate mount from Cravenspeed on my Panamera yesterday. It does not interfere with the parking sensors. I read in an older thread about someone having interference with theirs, but I think they modified the way it is mounted and the current version mounts a little lower getting out of the way of the sensors.

I have the Gominigo kit ready to install on the PSeH. Just waiting on the plates from the out-of-state dealer. We're into the fifth week already. Nothing has been smooth with this purchase.
I also purchased a mount kit for the E63 which has an incredible tight fit for front plate on tow eye mount. Have to avoid light, park sensor and oil cooler intakes. I found it to be the perfect fit after a good bit of adjustment.

It's a monster. I'll create a thread about the PSeH and offer some system and design comparos to the E63 in it. Don't want to trash up this thread...

Cravenspeed Platypus tow hook license plate mount
The top hex bolt fastens to the tow hook extension bar, and the bottom hex bolt fastens to a bracket connecting the license plate holder to the tow hook extension bar. The connecting bracket lowers the license plate frame so that it no longer interferes with the parking sensors.

A lot of BMW guys use US milworks. That is my front runner. I dont have one but that would be my only choice after doing the research on it already.
