What options are a must on a Panamera? (and a little introduction of myself)
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. I've been on Bimmerpost & Bimmerfest for a while however, same username (DINAN_GT).
Currently, we own a 2010 BMW 550i GT. This car has been heavily modded, including DINAN Stage 2 (tuned), H&R Lowering Springs, 20" XO Miami Rims, etc. You would not often see anything like this. For one, the F07 GT is a rare gem on the road, and this is one of the only modded ones out there. Other F07 GT owners refer to me as the "resident GT modder" or "GT modding guru" lol.
In fact, our F07 550 GT, a.k.a. the "BEA5T," has won a few awards here and there, and was even featured on the front page of Bimmerpost.com once.
I feel that it is time for a change, and I considered many cars. I love the GT for it's spaciousness, versatility, and power (esp. tuned). However, I wanted to switch things up, and I was thinking of the BMW 650GC.
I used to be a Panamera hater before, until one day, something changed, and I just started to fall in love with the Panamera out of nowhere. While I agree that the GT is an ugly car stock, after being modded, the car looks much more attractive. I feel the same for the Panamera. I love how wide and low the Panamera is, even wider than the GT, and I am looking forward to doing a lot to out future car as well.
We are looking for a 2011-13' Panamera Turbo. So, my main question is, what packages are a must for the Panamera TT? I think it's essential to have the Sport Package. What else should influence my decision when looking for a good deal? Please let me know.
P.S. Here's three shots of the GT, the yellow fog tint has been removed since the shoots, but hope you like it!

a) Lane Change Assist (this car has nasty blindspots)
b) Back-up camera
I also purchased a GTS....phenomenal car

Definitely lane change assist and the rear backup camera. The rear and side visibility in these cars is limited and these options help tremendously. I also love the sport chrono package which adds a little extra which I love.
I also feel you should get the wheels/rims you love. This will change the entire look of this car. I personally love the turbo 2 wheels at 20 inches.
I hope this helps. Good luck, and I know you will love it.

You can always retrofit SOME items. Seats is a tough one. I fitted 997 illuminated door sills to my 996 and it wasnt terribly difficult - hardest part being wiring the harness to the BCM under the driver seat.

I like that the Panamera is an executive sedan that's a sports car in disguise. So, my must-have options also allow for comfort. I would say include Sport Chrono, PASM, 14-way seats, heating/cooling front and rear seats, leather, Turbo wheels, rear and rear window shades, and back-up camera. PTT, GTS, or 4S.

4-zone climate control, because there is a secondary AC unit that comes with it, even if you rarely have rear seat passengers, it will still cool the whole car much faster. Both our Panamera and Cayenne have it.

Changing seats is not that big a deal, I have done it in other cars. My 997S has 18ways from a GT3. Finding the seats at a decent price now that is the hard part.

My favorite options so far are the heated/cooled seats and the Bose audio system. Sport Chrono is also pretty cool.
have to agree with the folks who mentioned blind spot assist. That would have been really nice on this car. Big-time blind spots for sure.
