South Florida members with a Panamera S?

Hi all, I know the title is a little specific, but was wondering if any of you are in the S. Fla area (I'm in Weston), I'd live to meet up with you and have you drive my car and compare it to yours. Although I drove others and do not experience on them what I feel on mine, I'd like a consumers input, not just dealer telling me everything is normal. I meet with field technical rep next Tuesday, wish me luck. Lol.

Man wassy - I admire your dedication to your car and the brand, especially trying to get this right.

You've probably already heard this before - but try a new dealer. One thing my dealer said that made sense (the ONLY thing they said that made sense). If they cannot hear/duplicate the noise, the only thing they can do is verification of specifications and tolerance. They're paid a nominal amount by Porsche to do so and once done they're not getting paid again. I think your dealer, much like mine is trying to tell you - they don't want your business. On the flip side, if you can get another dealer to hear it, acknowledge it's there and make an attempt to fix it - Porsche is paying them, you get your problem fixed. Win win. Bottom line, I think your dealer is trying to fire you as a customer. Suffice to say - you definitely shuold not be hearing most/all of the noises you are. No one in their right mind is going to pay north of 100k to be in these cars and accept clunks, groans, grinding noises etc.

BTW - my 550 Xi is quiet as a bank vault going down the same roads that made my particular Panamera sound like a horse drawn buggy. I do miss the looks of the Panamera, and it definitely felt a little more connected as a driving experience, especially miss the quick shifts of the PDK. But I don't miss firing it up and wondering - what's going to go wrong today. Also, the BMW actually sounds meaner when you light it off in the morning, especially with the dual mode exhaust bypassed.

Good luck man - I'm pulling for you!

Thanks buddy. Interesting perspective but I'm not too sure dealer is trying to fire me. On the contrary, I think they spent a significant amount of time trying to fix everything. Fact is, they did hear it all, despite writing unable to duplicate on a few line items. They got the factory rep involved who, when he did hear the noises, identidied them as being normal characteristic. The pdk clunking and clicking especially. He did suggest replacing strut and lower control arm for driver side and a decarbonization for the pinging but everything else normal. For me to take to another dealer is futile. He is already involved and he would be the one to approve parts and warranty at this point. What aggregated me most is his saying that while he will stand by his offer to replace the above parts, they will not "address" the normal items again. That's a bit disturbing since they are always present and annoying. I did hear the pdk clunk in another car but at a very very minimal level to what I hear. I had to listen with a temendous focus on it just to hear it.

At low speeds and Very low speeds the pdk just sounds like it's loose and can't find itself. Along with a moderate sporadic grinding. There is also an imbalance in the drivetrain somewhere. This is obvious but not crazy.

I get your point about dealer not being paid for these items and that's why I have no choice but to pursue it with PCNA. I am hopeful we will have a resolution one way or another next week. If however it comes to light that dealer does not in fact want my business and I can't imagine why they wouldn't, the. Of course I will go elsewhere. I've been very complimentary of their efforts and remain so until otherwise proven wrong.

Still looking for a S fla member to compare with.
