Any resolution to high pitch sound from from/right center air vent

Test drive a PTT today and had high pitch sound from front that went away with AC OFF. I've read many others with same issue in 4wd Panameras. Has anyone been able to fix theirs? Last thing I want is another Panamera with an annoying constant noise. If it can be fixed (not by closing vent) I'm ok with that.
Thanks in advance.

oscuro is infamous around these parts
As far as I know, no Panameras come w/ runflats. My dealer actually recommended against them due to their effect on ride & their difficulty to source in the case of emergency replacement. A buddy of mine swapped his stocks out for runflats; it makes for a much harsher ride but he appreciates the additional peace of mind.

I don't know make/model/etc of his but they do impact the ride noticeably and we have exactly the same car.

Yeah, that's odd. I was in the Runflats thread and hit "Quick Reply". My post showed up in two different -other- threads instead, at the same time.

A detailed search showed me that workshop manual 879131 is the apparent fix for this. I pulled up the pages in Porsche tiwis and wow, this is a major undertaking. Problem is fixed for 2014 per the manual, but those who have older than 2014 and did this fix, is it 100%?
