CPO question

I'm selling my 2010 P4S privately and the car has a Porsche CPO warranty attached. If a non-Porsche dealer does a courtesy trade for me, will the CPO warranty get voided for the buyer? Does anyone have experience with this? My Porsche dealer seems to think its a grey area and won't give me a definitive answer.
If I was to sell the car 100% privately, then the CPO would follow the car. If I traded it to a non Porsche dealer, the CPO warranty would get voided. The courtesy trade issue seems to be a grey area. Thanks

Why dont you call Porsche of America and find out. They would be the best to answer this question. Call to verify at least 3 times because some of those girls that pickup the phones are a little dumb. I experienced that myself first hand. I got a different answer each time I called. And it was about CPO issue as well.

I called PCNA and they would only give me a definitive answer on the private party transaction and the trade in to a non Porsche dealer. The courtesy trade issue they seemed uncertain about. They also suggested I call my dealer to confirm. I guess I'll have to call back. I was hoping to find something in writing that I could show potential buyers.

What is the difference between a courtesy trade AND a trade?

Dealers purchase cars all the time but that does not mean all prior warranties are nullified. Search google for the words CPO and transferable.

Operationally, I don't know what the difference is. A straight trade happens when the dealer actually takes possession of the car. A courtesy trade happens when I bring the buyer with me and the dealer never takes possession of the car. I just get the trade in credit.

A google search results in differing opinions. Which I guess explains PCNA and my Porsche dealers lack of clarity on the situation. Perhaps I'm looking for a clear cut answer that doesn't exist.
