When my 991 GT3 was sidelined waiting for a new engine, Porsche gave me a 2014 Panamera loaner for 4 months, and I realized how much I truly missed that car/interior/layout. So I started looking, and a day later, found a 2014 GTS in the exact combo/build I wanted...it was fate. Next day, my dealer swapped for this car, and I had my new GTS.
Many people here debate between a turbo and a GTS, but although the Turbo has more power and straight line speed, the GTS engine is so addictive. I really missed a naturally aspirated engine, and that sound...wow! The mapping on the PDK feels very different, and the engine bark is really unique. I am in love. Here are some pictures.

The white & black theme seems to be played out to some. I’m actually looking for some black rims for my Cayenne. It’s still a classic combo (IMO). Nice cars JCBH!

Really nice, big congrats! I was in a very similar situation but decided between the ///M6 Coupe and a PGTS. I rarely need to carry 4 let alone 2 people so both cars were in play. I definitely think the sound and engine of the GTS is something that will be remembered in museums but something about the ///M6 just grabbed. The power was addictive as ever and the technology is ridiculous - best in the industry! You really can't go wrong with either but I get so many comments on the car and I swear its more rare then my R8! However good on you to make the swap now, the refresh LCI for the M6/GC are coming out next year! I spent about $7k trying to make the M6 sound good but nothing will ever sound like a GTS!

I'm 49, and I find black wheels attractive, in some combinations. Not all. What I really like are black rims with silver edges.

That said, I'm not prepared to spend the extra money on this. I'm sticking with the stock rims when the car comes.

Haha - yeah - I recognize you from Bimmerpost, I think. I love BMW and the technology but it just seems to be missing some of the engineering and "soul" of Porsche - plus I like having the different cars feel the same (same ergonomics, Nav, buttons, etc...). BMW has hit a lot of the items perfectly but the steering feel bugged me - the GTS, GT3 and Cayenne Turbo all feel great to the hand, and you really can feel the road. Plus, there is something behind the marque that is so engaging to me. Totally personal, and there will be things I miss from the M6, but my wife and I both really found the BMW M6 seats too wide and not too supportive. Porsche seating designers have just nailed it (for us).
Either way, both awesome cars, and these are first world niggles...

Wish my car had the alcantara wheel - it is insanely expensive to add after the fact (like $3k). So nuts. For other cars, at Suncoast, it is $1,095...for Panamera, $3k.
I ordered jet black metallic, 20" turbo design rims, gt silver alcantara pkg, LCA, carbon fiber wheel, CF door guards, Bose, side skirts painted, LED interior pkg, premium pkg, PDCC\PTV plus...

Yup thats me . Porsche engineers a fantastic product no question there. I am going to test a 991 Turbo on Monday to see if it can give me the same goose bumps the R8 does. Anyhow enjoy the ride in good health!

Let us know what you think of the 991 Turbo. Great car, but maybe I am biased, the GT3 is a lot more fun! By the way, my Panamera GTS came with the Porsche Car Connect and Online Services, and am enjoying both. The PCC allows you to fold the mirrors in remotely, and also see where the car is at any time, also allows you to set a "Geo Fence" which lets you set an area where the car should be and alerts you if it leaves that area...some really cool features. Also tells you tire pressure, fuel level, service intervals. A neat option. Will definitely get it on our next Cayenne and any Porsche cars it comes with.
Online Services is also really neat - have it on all 3 of our cars (just added it after the fact via Suncoast/dealer) and have really been exploring this app. Very nice integration, with hotels, weather, music, etc...pretty neat.
