Scraping/Crunch Noise At Low Speed

Hi, I bought a 2014 Panamera S 3.0TT with 2000 miles and I have been noticing a whrring, and scraping sound every time the car is cold and on the move (first drive in the morning). It usually happens when you just pull out of the driveway slowly and at a slow speed, less then 5mph you let go of the gas. There is a slight crunch and scraping noise from the front as the car decelerates. It’s most noticeable during the first cold drive away. However when the car is at the operating temperature sometimes you might hear something when you pull up to a stop sign but nowhere as noticeable as when it is cold.

I have owned dual clutch transmission cars before (BMW/AUDI), and the noise mostly happens during those awkward parking lot speeds that causes the transmission to jerk a little. To me the noise does not sound like a “hard-shift” and the jerkiness is not any better or worse than other DCTs transmission I have tried at those speed.

I thought that it could be the brakes scraping the disk when its cold, but to me it sounds like it is coming from the front center of the car.

Has anyone encountered this before???

Are you sure it is or the tires. They will scrape and you can feel the car jump when cold and you turn the wheel.

That is normal for the car.

I'm betting on suspension. I had to have some components on my 2010 PTT replaced and now just had bushings on my 2013 PTTS replaced becasue there was a creaking/crunching sound from front end under cold conditions. I would have the dealer check it out

If not the tires -no idea. My MY14 has no noise or my wife would be yelling. I assume a dealer visit is in order.

I had a MY10 without this either but who knows. Hopefully they find the issues and fix.

Let us know.
