What are the monthly fees for these, and are they worth it? My search did not show much information, and I'm not clear. I just acquired a 2014 GTS with these options and want to know if they are worth activating...

 

I have Car Connect on my Cayenne S eHybrid. I am not sure what the subscription is as it was included with the eHybrids...you can probably find it on Porsche's site. But I am not a big fan of CC so far. it is very slow, it connects to the PCC server and then to car and that takes about 30 seconds+...which seems very long.

If your car was built after Nov 2014, you will have the option to lock the doors on it...which maybe a benefit. If it was built before Nov, it will not have the updated module (like mine) and you will only be able to see if they are locked (not actually lock them). I used it a bid for the first few months...now I use it once a month or so just to check my car's charging level (which wouldn't apply to you anyway). My 2 cents.

 

As a free/included service, I think it is pretty cool, albeit mostly stuff that is rarely used. I have never used the features in the app aside from trying it out. I suspect that there may be 1-2 times per year that I would actually use it (if I remember). For example today I parked in an outdoor valet lot and I could have activated the 'radius' mode or whatever it is called, but I forgot.

That being said, it is not a free service after the trial and unless it is cheap, I can't see myself paying for it.
