2014 Panamera GTS Battery Replacement

So battery is coming up on 4 years and appears to be losing its charge. Porsche want $800 for battery and 1 1/2 hr labor. Looks like I can buy a top of the line Interstate Platinum MT49/H8 for $228 saving around $600.

Anyone replaced the battery themselves? Looks like a couple of strange bolts hold down the battery. Any idea where to get those sockets?

Also issue of resetting all the electronics, anyone had any experience using a 'memory manager' eg 9V battery into cigarette lighter?

No issues at all replacing - it's easy. The battery is in the floor of the trunk, at least in my Turbo. No special tools required, just metric sockets. (I had to use an extension to access them) 10-15 min. job. 1.5 hours labor is ridiculous!

Go get that $228 battery and install it yourself. Also, no issue with my electronics afterwards.

Thank you very much for the info!! Did you use one of the OBD memory savers while changing the battery?

Insanegarage had a DIY post about all the things that need re setting. I was surprised how much there was.
When I did my 911 battery it was the same , got battery at Walmart for a little over $100.

No. Surprisingly no memory items required resetting.
