Adding Techron bottle to gas tank '10 Panamera S ? Anyone done?

Hey all, 2010 panamera i notice sometimes quite a bit of smoke and high oil consumption, i was recommended maybe the engine needs to be cleaned and was recommended to put a bottle of techron in the fuel tank before my next gas fill up. Is this ok for a 2010 Panamera S? can i just put a bottle in before my next fill up?

Not going to hurt but I don t think it will help your situation either.

I use Techron regularly in all of my vehicles. It is the best additive on the market IMO, and I use Chevron gasoline where ever I can find it. Additives are not going to repair your engine however.

Techron will help clean your valves (unless your engine has direct injection), but won't do anything for high oil consumption. Have a compression test done.

Oh Boys. I see $$$ spending to fix the car. Hope you don't have any serious valve stem leaking. Please check your spark plug to see you have any oil.

Hope you have a good mechanic or Indy guy to fix your car. Techron won't work and do nothing.

Good luck !!!

the reason i asked is because i read online that carbon buildup can lead to higher oil consumption and that techron can help with the carbon buildup

I think his 2010 may be direct injection...
usually not an issue until higher miles, didn t see how many on your car?
I also agree that this all has nothing to do with oil consumption IMO.

I would do the compression test or use a camera to determine the cylinder condition. Too many unknowns to come to any conclusion.

I would check your owner's manual and do what they specify for your engine.
