I just picked up a 2017 panamera turbo and this will be a car that my wife will be driving,,,, the car has 20" wheels and def. needs larger wheels. Not sure if we should install 21's or 22's... thoughts

 

In my experience no female/wife can handle 22's on public roads/curbs etc.
22's are very hard to live with.
My wife is a "car girl" & fully understands our Porsches with all the mods etc.

But she still manages to curb all our rims over time wether 18's or 22's

 

I have H&R lowering springs and 22" - i was running 19s when i bough the car - and then put on the 20 inch turbo 2's for a while.

Since having the 22s on the ride has been excellent - in fact as i mentioned in my thread the holding is better on 22s then 19 or 20.
I have not felt a huge difference with the ride quality on 22's - really minimal which gels well with others who gave me advice before i got the 22s that its not really that much worse.

Hey Roof,

I'm running the 265/315 combo that most people are without rubbing. But also depends on the offset of the wheel.
My fronts are 22" x 9.5 with 46mm offset
rear's are 22" x 10.5 with 42mm offset.

That's where the wheel offset comes in to play. Most wheel manufacturers will offer their wheel with different offsets which moves the wheel in or out depending on the offset. No spacers required.

 

I would say SCRUBEN has it right, the offset becomes important for the overall setup to work without rubbing.
My Savini set up is 22x9, 22x11 with 255 in the front and 295 rear.
I could go 265/305 next time, perhaps even 315 on the rears without issues.

 

I have 265 front, 315 rears on stock 20" Panamera Turbo no rub.

Also have 22" Vorsteiner on wife's Cayenne Turbo curb free so far, lol hope it last.
