I cut mine open.

I cut mine open with a Dremel tool. It looked exactly like the other pics posted here with the access door. I installed the new bulbs and used a bit of duct tape to seal it. No problems, plug and play...all good.

thanks for the information.
finally someone was brave to do this. Did you take any pictures? Where you you cut? I like to do it just not as brave as you. If you can show more detail how to do this would be appreciated.
thanks

I did mine today as well. I use Dremel to cut around the opening using a very fine disc, just be carful don’t go too deep since you may cut the wire specifically on back side. Check the picture. The rest is just plug and pla.

Like vkb123, I think my reverse lights might be LED as well, since the light seems very white (2015 GTS … I used to have a 2013 GTS where I mounted 2 Oznium lights on either side of the license plate). Curious, (you have a 2014 S?), is the reverse bulb on yours incandescent or LED?

I was told 970.2 has LED reverse lights. I would be interested in hearing others thoughts as well.

Mine was 2013 model. I also heard 970.2 are already LED I think just. 2009 to 2013 model can upgrade to LED.

I was wondering if anyone upgrade the front headlights bulbs to LED bulb also?
