I've found many others online that looks interesting. Was considering posting them on that vinyl wrap thread if you wanted to see more

Yep! Only 3 big panels wrapped so far... just trying to get it done before the end of the month 😁 Learning a lot though, specifically about how bad I ak at wrapping so may have a pro re-do the spots I mess up. It's pretty fun though!

Haha I was there 2 weeks ago with wrapping my roof. Nothing let's you know how amateur you are when struggling with something talented people make look SO easy.

So how did you tackle the antenna and roof wrap? I wrapped around the antenna and did my best to wrap the antenna while on the car, because there was ZERO chance I was taking out the interior headliner to gain access to the antenna for removal.

Excited to see the finished results.

Haha yeh, it is very humbling! I actually did a terrible job around the antenna and had to call a friend (best wrap person in Colorado, fortunately) and he told me how to do it so I will be redoing it this weekend.

Evidently, build a masking tape template around the antenna first, take the masking tape template carefully off the car and put it on unpeeled vinyl, cut it out, lay new piece on the roof, work out from the antenna 😊 there was me overheating and trying to stretch it 😂 it really is an art form.

Fortunately, he is going to block out a day to work with me and do the front bumper, rear bumper, door handles and side mirrors. It's down to me to get the rest done to my satisfaction!

For what it's worth, saw your roof wrap and you did an amazing job! I used your tip of finding something to press the sunroof wind breaker down and it helped a lot!

Thanks man, and ya it was def an exercise is patience and perseverance. I watched a dumb amount of YouTube vids but that still doesn't prepare you for hands on with the vinyl.

Having said that please do yourself a favor and check this video out regarding the antenna for your second attempt. Granted your friend will help, but man this video absolutely helped me nail the area with no white from the roof showing at all. The ****ing challenge ended up being the damn antenna itself which I did NOT have the patience to redo, so I took another tip from the same installer and made a very thin "pinstripe" and wrapped it around the base of the antenna. Essentially cheating my *** off but the overall result is a much improved look and far better than redoing the damn thing. Plus unless you're really gawking at the antenna you can hardly tell I cheated. Good enough for a complete newb!

Pintstripe "hack"
