Sirius XM broke the PCM
#3
I played with mine tonight and found that "vehicle handover" did not work but "factory reset" did. I guess tomorrow will be the test as I have to drive for about an hour. Could be a quiet trip!

Wow. I thought to myself "GREAT! Now I have to go to the dealer and maybe pay out the nose for something that's not my fault." It started when driving to work this morning, so I'll try the reset when I get a chance.
Luckily I found a YouTube video that had a good number of comments from people with the exact issue within the last 12hrs. That's what brought me here... Though I should've known if it were a widespread issue, I should've just come here in the first place haha

Wanted to share my cautionary tale. With the PCM resetting every two minutes, it happens even when the ignition is off! So, if you don't reboot your PCM, it can drain your battery (as it did to mine) as it keeps rebooting even when your car is off.
For me, the vehicle handover did work, but it wiped out my XM radio. If Sirius did cause this, they should own up to it. If Porsche USA has to send a system wide email on this fix, its a pretty big deal.

This is a temporary fix. I did this a week ago and everything was fine. As of today, it's rebooting again. Apparently, the only real fix is to contact SiriusXM and have them stop sending any signals to your car.
