Fault codes P3081 & P2181 (2011 Panamera 4S)
I have constant fault codes P3081 and P2181 on my 2011 Panamera 4S with 61,000 miles on it. I've done a great deal of research and found on the 997 forum, a cause of the OBD II faults could be the transmission disk valve.
Solved Problem
I plan on checking the vacuum lines prior to replacing it. In the event I have to replace it, does anyone have the part number for my car? The 997 part number is 928-574-573-03.
Much appreciated, David

David: I had the same two codes on my 2010 Panamera 4S back in December 2017. (same 4.8l engine as yours )
- my issue was with the thermostat sensor -- needed the thermostat to be changed.
- good time to change the thermostat housing if it has not already been updated - early 4.8 engines had glued in lines! (Tended to let go and let out all the coolant when it was the worst time to take place).
-- Good luck with your trouble shooting - you may also have noticed that your cars engine has been running "cool"
*** A failing thermostat sensor cause's lot's of intermitant drivability issues.

Thanks srom. I purchased all of the parts to replace the thermostat housing, thermostat, and all o-rings and seals. I plan on completing the job in the next few weeks and will report back.
