Magnaflow X Pipe?

Magnaflow X Pipe?
Hello. I’ve had my 2012 970 for a few years now but fairly new to the forum.
Anyone have experience with a Magnaflow X Pipe to replace OEM resonators? I’m looking for a way to improve the exhaust note a bit. Previous owner did a muffler delete and it was way too much drone so I had OEM mufflers out back on but no too quiet. Looking for reasonably priced way to get a more aggressive sound.

Drone is a huge problem for exhaust designers. Porsche does a good job reducing drone.
Consider instead exhaust cutouts ahead of the rear mufflers. Then you can have "sound" on demand. Check U-Tube: https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...exhaust+cutout
All is not golden with exhaust cutouts. Quality varies. Some rattle.

Peter,
Some of the cut outs I have seen advertised offer an electrical connection for the motor that opens/closes the valves. Simple to wire - wires to battery compartment - negative to a negative battery post; and positive to a fuse (Add a Fuse). The cutout itself is activated wirelessly by a key-fob type remote.

I have been looking at that one since there are plenty of videos of it in youtube. I also like the fact that you buy it modular and build it up specific for the year and make of your car.....makes me feel like it will fit and the installer won't have to struggle to make it fit. The price is good too.

Resonator is designed to reduce drone and may not give you the sound increase you're looking for. What do you have - Turbo? V8? V6? Downpipes on a turbo will net a good volume increase but not over bearing.

I jumped in and did it, went ahead and had the mufflers deleted on my 2015 3.0L panny. It added plenty of rumble without making it too loud inside the cabin. You can hear the difference when driving at medium / high RPMs and barely at all at highway speeds.
At start up it finally sounds like it should have from day 1. For those on the fence I say go for it! I attached how it sounds at idle.
