Brake pad sensor testing - in case you need to know...

Had a warning pop on the dash. Odd, since I just did a complete brake job, so my guess was a bad sensor. Testing them is super easy - you just need a multimeter set to Ohms, and you don't need to remove anything from the car. Get the car in the air -ramps will do. Unplug the sensor, stick the leads in to the sensor side of the plug, look at your meter. The proper resistance in a good sensor is .2-.3 ohms and a bad one will be '0'. You also can replace the wear sensor without having to remove the caliper from the car. Once you locate the bad corner, it's about a 5 minute job. Remove the wheel, use needle nose pliers to pull out the sensor. Insert the new one, plug it up, mount the wheel and you're done.

Thank you. Good to know one can test them without pulling it from the car.
