2012 Porsche Panamera S 4.8 RWD - pdk problems
Hello guys!
First post here. Been reading up a lot and enjoy all the content very much.
Recently purchased a 2012 panamera from an auction that was damaged at the front driver's side. Replaced fender, lower and upper control arms and air strut myself with the help of this forum.
Now I'm running into a problem where my car won't go into gear. It didn't go into gear when I first got it but I thought once the strut was fixed maybe something would change.
The RPMs will go up and shifter will shift through different gears but it doesn't sound like the gears are engaging. The dash displays the car stuck in 2nd gear. When I scan it with a cheap scanner it throws several codes. P0700, P0846 and P0841. The first code is a transmission fault and the second two are pointing to the fluid pressure sensor. I've spoken with a porsche mechanic near me who suggested the car could have been sitting for a while and the transmission harnesses inside the PDK could have gone bad. When I went under the car the only thing I noticed was some fluid coming out of the drain hole in the bell housing. But, more research tells me this is coolant. Fluid in transmission was topped off but still nothing. Wonder if anyone has any suggestions. Could it be the valve body? A solenoid perhaps?
Also, I tried putting the car on jack stands and oddly enough the rear wheel will spin but slowly. Giving it gas doesn't do anything. Also when on jack stands it's able to shift down to 1st gear.
Thanks in advance.
