Porsches at HersheyPark, PA ("Largest P-Car Gathering in the World")

Hi Fellow 6Speeders,
Some of us Philly 6Speeders will be hitting the Porsches at HersheyPark, PA event. Care to join?

Event is on April 26th (Saturday) and gates open at 7:30am[/B]. It's billed as the largest assembly of Porsches in the world. Entry to the Porsche Car Corral is $20/car and puts you right into the thick of things.

Our Philly crew plans (tenatively) to get into the show around 10am. It'd be fun to partake in the festivities and meet some other 6Speeders.

Feel free to spread the word. If we get enough interest, maybe the organizer can create a 6Speed Car Corral Section (no promises, but worth a try). If you're planning to attend, please send me a PM (name, cell#, car model/year) and I'll pull together a list to keep everyone in the loop; only screen names will be shared online to maintain privacy. Could be a neat 6Speed event if the weather cooperates!!

DAVID

Phoenix,
The event is sponsored by the Central Pennsylvania Region of the Porche Club of America. Pics of last year can be found on their site:
http://www.cpa-pca.org/ (follow the appropriate links)

Your haul is a long one so I want to be perfectly candid. The event's a blast, but it did not have as diverse a bunch of cars/vendors as I would have expected. No 959s, no GT1s, no RUFs, etc. Granted, it was a drizzly day so those folks may have held off from participating; as a result, I did a walk through in about 1 hour and was on my way. Just want to manage your expectations, cool?

That having been said, I think that a party on Friday night hosted by the Philly 6Speeders could be great. Puts you more than halfway towards HersheyPark.

David,

Thank you for taking the time to write that out.

Just what I wanted to hear. I would still like to come out. If I can get two of my buddies to come out with me, I'll definitely be there.

Hopefully the weather will be good and serious machinery will attend.

Thanks again.

10-4 on the weather. (Fingers crossed.) If the weather does bite, we'll just roll back to Philly earlier, grab a few cases, and resume the party.
