Hi guys:

I'm new to 6speedonline as well as the Porsche owners group who is going on this great Saturday drive.

Let me introduce myself to those who have never met me:

I own a beautiful 1991 Porsche 928 S4 - my third 928. I got hooked on the 928 while growing up in Stuttgart, Germany, and admiring its innovative design at the time. I will never forget my first ever ride in the factory's '83 Model photo car that was later pictured in the German 1983 brochure.

However, this type of car was totally out of reach for me over there - due to high cost of maintenance, insurance, tax and gas only very wealthy people and higher level Porsche employees would be able to afford one - and I was none of the two. It wasn't until I lived here in the Bay Area that I could fulfill this dream, and found it is an addiction impossible to get rid of.

Then I got into collecting information about the history of the car, little model 928s, and all kinds of other stuff - which was all hard to find here in the US. So I started importing stuff from Germany. In the process I found a few unique Porsche related collectible products and started offering them to fellow owners at events or through ebay. In the meantime I set up a little online store where items for all types of Porsches and many other vehicles are available. I called it "Hooked On Cars" - becaues I think that's what we all are. You can see the store at www.hookedoncars.com.

I plan to donate a few items for the raffle on Saturday:

- A Porsche 993 Model Pin, nickel plated*
- A Porsche Bosxter pin*

For those of you going to Redwood City in the morning from the south of San Jose, there are a few of us meeting in Gilroy at 8:15 - 8:30 AM. We will be leaving at 8:30 sharp.

We will be parked in the In N Out Burger parking lot off Leavesly. The more the merrier

convertable 1/24th scale, with a keyfob remote that
operates the car's horn, alarm, engine, and can make it
go (straight ahead only; it's a toy).
