I realize CarNerd instigated this drive, so will defer to any route he may be considering, but would suggest doing the Doc Wong route. That is, South on 35, West on 84, left at Stage Rd in San Gregorio (Paul, we came back this way last time. This will be the opposite direction.), through Pescadero to Gazo Creek Rd. This meets Hwy 1 at the Gazo Grill where we can stop for brunch.

For those who might want to continue on, South on Hwy 1 to Bonny Doon Rd, up Empire Grade, down Jamison Crk Rd to Hwy 9, up Hwy 9 to Hwy 35, then home.

I liked that drive last time, i've actually done it on my own now several times. I'd vote for a little more driving before we eat.

I'm actually itching to a take break, so I'll plan on making it. I'm gonna hang towards the rear though, since my trailing-arm bushings are worn. My car is also filthy .
