Hey, we both have 1Ds's!! Very good choice! I will have mine as well as a car mounted Canon camcorder. I have the roll bar mount but I was going to try this:

I have this one, but i am not sure how much i trust it yet. I figured that i would try it with the Sony, although i am sure the HD cam would provide better quality.

We will have a lot to talk about!! I also like the XL1S. What is not to like??!! Yes, the mount is Manfrotto but the suction base is pump actuated Woods. I am told by Erik at CargraphicUSA that it held in their use of it up to 150mph!! I think we will be fine!!! LOL

I started to do alot of work with Premiere 1.5, so if you want to throw me a copy i will try my hand at editing them up. I also think i could put them on a website at work, but i might be a bit busy after this weekend depending on how much i shoot.
