duck tail finals

I started this thread from the back and found exactly what I want. Can you share where you purchased the front fender flares? Perfection!

Finally got my GD ducktail installed, really happy with the work done by RM auto. I was afraid of the paint match, but it came out perfect. Going to balance the front with the 997.2 gt3tek front lip.

Beauty, I have the exact same plan and color, I have the lip and looking for a duck.

Thanks...Did you paint your front lip? Can you post a pic since you have the same color car? And yes do the duck, it really looks better in person plus shaves some weight off the back.

I have the lip sitting here, I haven't installed yet. I plan to paint it, might not look that great if left black.

Sorry missed this post. Mods were done by Champion for a previous owner. Flares are GT3 RS and can be purchased from Suncoast, Champion etc.... Have currently taken the car a little more retro with Fuchs style wheels.

Finally Got it Finished!
Well she is finally done. I bought the Areokit from Suncoast and the Ducktail from Getty over a year ago. I did all the dis-assembly and re-assembly with help from this great Porsche forum. Thanks to all the smart guys for their assistance. The Areokit is a Porsche part and fit like a glove. The Getty was superb with a few caveats. First was the wiring. The kit comes with a GT3 wiring harness. If I had known what I was doing I would have installed it differently. The wiring harness comes with the engine compartment light and the rear tail light going inside the tail and the fan lead exiting the tail. My fan has the light built in so I modified the cable to have two external and one internal. Afterward I noticed the tail has a cut out (not cut out however) by the latch for the light like a GT3. If only I had seen it earlier I would have not had the cables running across the inside of the tail. The other error was not sending the tail light to the body shop as directed by Getty (who reads all the directions?) so the fit was not perfect atfer the body shop sanded and finished the tail. I actually snapped the edge off the light and had to send more $$$ to Suncoast for a replacement. (Paid the stupid tax on that one)
Test Fit Areokit Front. While I had it off I added the third radiator and have definitely notice lower oil temps with the recent 97 degree weather. I also mounted my Escort 9500 Radar receiver under the cover on top of the bumper. Since I don't have metallic paint I don't see any degradation of the receiver. I also added Rennline screens to keep trash out. Nice product with secure mounting. (Sorry about the lack of focus, it looked fine on the iPhone)
Test Fit Getty Ducktail. I also had to purchase a GT3 rubber seal for the tail. $6 from Suncoast. The original was mounted with plugs that pushed into slots on the tail where the GT3 and this Ducktail are adhesive mounted.
Under the Boot. Could have been better if I had known about the light location by the latch. My bad.

Oh That Butt! I also have added a Carrera sticker reminiscent of the Carrera RS but using the "S" from the current model. I will add a picture soon.
Venting. Getty sent me two flat pieces of expanded aluminum in silver. I traced the inside of the openings and cut a piece of 3/4 wood to act as a buck to bend it over. Worked great. I used fast set epoxy to hold it in place.

Does anyone know where I can acquire these OEM decals circled in red? Suncoast has the Mobil 1 decal but not the others.
Another member sent me this if anyone is looking to purchase the decals:
Cost ~$35 through various online parts stores
Engine oil sticker 7PP 010 786 T
Knock sensor sticker 996 006 140 00
Info sticker 997 006 109 18 which this one is only
available through Germany and is VIN specific.
