The Carbon Project....

Updated with a Hi-Res pic.
This is all completed, albeit I still need to find out why my central locking doesn't work in its intended manner.
I learned a few things with this project, i.e., the waterfalls/ski slopes don't all have the same thickness. So, if you're going to laminate your dash pieces, make sure they are all the same finish. In this way, everything lines up nicely when you're done.
In my case, I used a piano black ski slope, a graphite stereo surround and a uridium silver gear support. The gear support and the stereo surround lined up nicely. However, the water fall/ski slope did not. I was forced to return to my original carbon fiber ski slope;luckily, it fit nicely!!! The carbon fiber weave between the ski slope and the stereo surround is slightly misaligned but I can live with it.

I really like your yellow stitching!
I have a factory carbon ski slope and shifter surround. I'd like to get the lower part done also, where the change tray is. You did this yourself, right? Have you done a project of this sort before or was this the first shot?

Wow I am impress, it looks very nice... I am looking for a spare ski slope/water fall but I don't have Nav only the start button. They are more rare than I thought with that config but I will keep on looking.

If you're going to have it covered in carbon fiber anyways maybe one with nav would work? Just a little body work to attach the nav cover permanently? Just a thought..

Thank you very much! Have you checked AMbits for the waterfall? They always have a bunch.. Used ones as well.

I did not do the lamination work, but I did the assembly and disassembly myself. I replaced my switches with glass switches and replaced my gear shift with an alcantara version, all of which required me to remove all of dash pieces.

Yes, it was low. I could the low battery warning while working on the car the next day. Apparently, when the battery gets low, the car enters a power saving mode in which certain functions become limited. It appears the central locking system is one such system.
