Oil Viscosity recommendation
I'm helping a friend out & changing the oil in his 1998 Porsche Boxster since I have a lift in my garage. I've googled & gotten lots of different oil recommendations as to weight. The car is driven only in the summer months.
Any thoughts on what you guys use.

As long as the car is not driven in winter a good oil would be Mobil 1 5w-50 (not a typo for 15w-50!).
This is a Porsche approved oil. A while back I switched to running this oil full time vs. just in the summer because while it doesn't get that cold here -- just a few nights below freezing -- it gets damned hot, in the triple digits.
Or a 0w-40 oil. My 2002 Boxster covered a large number of its currently over 310K miles with 0w-40 oil and my usage ranged from driving it in the winter in the midwest to 116F heat of the desert southwest.
