PSM/ABS Help code 4340

All,

I have read through a few previous threads on this, but can't seem to fix it and neither can my tech. We replaced the brake stop sensor, but the code 4340 keeps randomly throwing. It generally throws once the car gets on the highway and is just cruising speed. Any ideas on what this might be?

thanks in advance for any thoughts.

My failed mass air sensor (MAF) caused the same codes...

Thanks Guys! the MAF was cleaned and appears to be ok. We've changed all the other sensors and stop light switch. We think it is the control unit itself so that's going out today to see if we can fix instead of replacing. Will keep you updated

Are the ABS and PSM lights on? When I disconnected my MAF when running some test those two lights came on the dash. If the MAF is bad, cleaning it won't help.

Lots of reasons for the error, the MAF sensor probably the most common cause.

Hi. Have exactly the same problem. Did you ever resolve the issue and if so how?
