Best coolant for W12 engine?
I've got a 2018 and the book recommends to change the coolant every 5 years so I figured it'd be a good idea to do a coolant flush now. Question is: What's the best coolant money can buy for the W12 engine? Are the Prestone Max or Platinum good choices?
Thanks in advance.

I have a 2005 and I went with the Pentosin "Pentafrost E" for my car. Per the Pentosin/CRP website, it is showing your car uses the Pentafrost E. I believe that your car uses the same, but you will want to confirm. (See link) I went with the Pentafrost E instead of the original SF since the Pentafrost E comes by the gallon versus being concentrated and having to mix it. The original coolant's color is violet and since this is German, I figured Pentosin was very high quality for the Bentley/VW's and they also make the power steering fluid. For the 2005 Bentley Continental, per Pentosin, they still carry the SF (G12+) antifreeze as well as the E (G13). The E (G13) is backwards compatible to SF. So, yes technically you can move from the SF to E if you hadn’t already. For CRP (Pentosin) we catalog by what was originally in the car at production for that cataloged year. Since we still carry the SF we still catalog it as the antifreeze for your vehicle.
You may also want to consider going with either Bentley Antifreeze or the equivalent VW branded product.

I purchased my (G13) coolant for the 2011 Supersports engine from the local Audi dealership, as the same with the power steering fluid.
Just verify which fluids your 2018 uses.

Genuine Audi Coolant/Antifreeze - 1 Gallon - Audi (G-12E-050-1G-DSP)
This is what the dealer is saying is the replacement for the G13 coolant which is no longer available from them. Is this ok to use in my 2007 Bentley GT? ThanksLast edited by OMAC; 07-05-2024 at 07:59 AM.
