What in the world is a tagged or watermarked image?
Only sponsors can post tagged or watermarked images in this section. Members must post tagged/watermarked images in the Photography section. Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated..thanks

It's an image that has been trademarked by the user. For instance, if you visit one of the vendor classifieds sections and check out a vendor FS thread, the pictures will always have their logo in the corner, or something like that.

a tagged or watermarked image is a picture with a business name or photographers watermark superimposed on the image so that it is not a pure image.
We are really just trying to keep members from getting spammed to death by non-sponsors...we deal with hundreds of these every day.
The sponsors pay for the priviledge and they can post tagged images anywhere.
It is a simple matter to edit out the taggs before posting the images or get images without watermarks from the photographer...if all else fails, you can post them in the photography section where they are allowed and make a link to them...
I hope this answers your question...you could have PM'd me..but thanks for bringing it up so more can understand what the intention is and why it is a problem...

I now use photobucket to host my pictures. Previously, I used supermotors (so some of my old pictures are still over there, but no new ones). Supermotors.net started putting a mark on my own pictures.
Example: This is my car, in my yard, in a picture taken by me. Is this illegal?

probably not if they are hosting the image...you may have clicked on a button that says that you agree with their policies and that may be all they need...all you can do is download the image to your pc and then edit it out and then use the attachment feature or as suggested in another thread post your pics from their site in the Photography section and then put a link to that thread where you want...more work I know...it's been more work for us too...thanks for the good questions...keep em coming

Thanks. I am just trying to get these new rules straight. So, I can post the same picture without a mark?

I would say you landed right on the mark (pun intended)...good job...post away..thanks by the way, sure appreciate the cooperation...
