I don't know if anyone else is annoyed by this, but I find it a little annoying that there is a separate "Vendor Classified" forum within each car forum which I assume should be used as an expo for vendor sponsors to show off their new wares to potential customers, but yet when you go into the car specific forum, it's filled mostly with posts from vendor sponsors introducing their new wheels, bodykits, plenums, software, etc.

Why not just have all those "sales" posts put in the Vendor Classifieds section instead of in the car specific forum. I mean, I'd like to go into the car forum and see posts from other forum members, not from board sponsors. If I wanted to check out new stuff out there for our cars, then I'd then go into the vendor classifieds section. Isn't that the way it should work?...I mean, if everyone posts it all in the same forum (sales posts along with forum member posts), why even have a separate vendor classifieds section then? Ok, rant over.

 

you are not going to get flamed...you ask some good questions and have made some good points...I'll take a shot...basically, this forum is here for your pleasure because of the vendor's that pay for it through their sponsorship...the vendor classifieds were put there for vendors to sell in and may have originally been intended as you suggested...but the vendor's received little response and requested to be able to post in the regular sections if they did not include pricing info...they especially wanted to be able to do this when announcing a new product or showing off a project they were working on...I think we would all like to banish them to some corner of the forum so we can enjoy ourselves at their expense...doesn't work that way in the real world...they are paying the freight for this great forum so I think we all need to make some concessions on their behalf...don't get me wrong there are some abusers and we (mods/admins) get on their case when they do...if you see an abuser feel free to give them neg rep but don't forget to pos rep the sponsors to thank them for making this forum possible...
