Best Seats/Tickets for Long Beach GP?

Can anyone provide advice on the best seats/tickets to get for the Long Beach Grand Prix? I've never gone before so I have no idea what would be a good ticket to purchase or what to expect really. Has anyone been in the past or has purchased tickets for this year's event that can shed some light? Also, anyone know where to get good prices on tickets? I'm interested in going on Saturday and Sunday so I can check out the Le Mans and Celebrity race as well as the Speed World Challenge GT.

Thanks for the help 6speeders.

I've been many times. By now the best seats are gone. Go to GPLB.com for details and a map of the circuit. Ticket sales office is 888-82-SPEED and they are usually pretty good at telling you what the best remaining seats are. IMHO best viewing is around turn one. Some people like to be across from the pits. We'll be at the hairpin (turn 11) this year. Try to get as high up in the stands as possible. Top of the bleacher is row #1.
If you are driving a P-car ask about Porscheplatz parking. Have fun. BTW Friday is the best day for looking around. Sat & Sun are so crowded you can hardly move.

Thanks for the good information, that helps a lot.

I found some tickets on a 3rd party seller, they seem to be for Sunday only, but they have:

Section 24, Row 1 - 150/each
Section 31, Row 1 - 150/each

The ticket office was closed when I called today so I'll try again tomorrow. The gplb.com site shows 3-day reserved seating in the Upper rows of #17, 25 & 29 for $125 and Sunday only upper seating in #21, 24, 26, 31 for $78. I'm guessing that the tickets for $150 from the 3rd party are better rows than what's availabe for $78 at the Grand Prix long beach ticket office.

I'll keep checking. Maybe ebay has some options. Has anyone done the 'C-300 Paddock Club' or 'Ocean Club' before? Good deal?

Row 1 is the top row so thats good. #31 is fastest section of the track and across from the pits and the finish line. If you want to see the pit action and cars hauling *** it's good. I think it's kind of boring. #24 is at the hairpin, slowest section of the track but lots of action there. We'll be in 25.

Parking?

What is the parking like there on Sunday? Is it worth the $65 for Marina parking or can I expect to seee a bunch of people offering space for less than that near the event?

Thanks.

Thanks Robbie, I actually did find a ticket on Craigslist. I sat in GS 40, right in front of turn 1. Kind of low, but great action.
