I saw Maryland and Florida license plates which have the Porsche logo on it. I think it looks cool. Can it be done in CA? Will I get caught?

 

I think you will get caught if the cop that's behind you decides to catch you 'cause he's in the mood. Legally, you cannot put anything on your license plate in any state or province. It has to be free and clear for viewing.

The only thing you can manipulate legally is a license plate frame, or the surrounding paint on your car.

 

Frips Girl is right. Leave the plate alone. You'd just be rolling PC

 

I have a Los Angeles Lakers Sticker at the end of my plates and I haven't had any issues (been on there for over 2 years).

Plate is LKRHLC (left justified because the DMV screwed up), thereby leaving room for the sticker...

YMMV though....

 

I guess it depends on how bad a day the chp had and what it says or represents
