Hello all....just wanted to tell everyone coming to base on the 5th that I am a Military Policeman stationed at MCRD and I'll also be at the event with my Pcar. My people are working the event and working the gates. I am also in charge of the access and passes. You guys let me know if you have any issues or questions. I've been speaking to local news media about covering it, and spoke w/Jose today at MCRD, and it's looking like they are up to 110 cars entered for the show now, with room for up to 250 entrants. Let's fill it up, guys!

 

Yes...I do plan to attend the HRE event but will most likely not do the show at MCRD...I had a wheel repaired and have this huge grind spot on my wheel now..So i'm tryin to hide it...lol. Might try to find me someone to just repaint my wheels this week and get it done. wish I could grab some HRE's..but a new baby in the house kinda kills any mods I had planned....c u there.

I was on KCBQ radio this afternoon with "The Car Guy" Dave Stall on the You Auto Know show, promoting the meet and Toys for Tots sports car caravan. Working on local TV news coverage too if I can get it.

Anyone got any news connections? I'm just going in cold. Have already talked to the news desks and have submitted details of the event. Any help is greatly appreciated, but I'll keep going after it on my own anyway. Sometimes persistence is almost as good as connections, just takes a whole lot longer.

Hello all...just an update on the MCRD car show event...pass the word around that we (MCRD) will require all people coming on the depot for the car show to go through the search lanes at gate 5 upon entry.....HOWEVER....for the HRE convoy folks, I'll lead the convoy through the gate and to the car show area without having to stop at the search lanes.....the search lane guys won't like this because they're looking forward to searching your supercars...lol. Super D is looking into a roster right now so I can post it as my guest list. Also keep in mind, if you come later or have to leave for whatever reason, you will be allowed back on, but you'll be required to go through the search lanes.
Also, don't worry about exhaust laws and weird front plate BS laws while entering for that day..we are being lenient that day on modifications and such...so long as it does not present a safety risk to the car AND the car is actually legal to drive on the street. ( we might have to hide your race car in the middle of the convoy..lol)

hello all....jus an update....if you want in the Car show and have not officially entered at MCRD, let me know asap..I can add you to the list with Jose at MCRD..no problem at all. For those of you making the HRE convoy to MCRD but not entering the show, I've got a dedicated parking area within 50 feet of the show....so you don't have to worry about your babies.

I'd putting together a guest list of you'all in the convoy so that you can go in and out of the base without trouble...as my guest. I need everyone in the convoy to send me their info so I can post it at the gates. What I'd like:

first and last name, make/model of car/...online screen name(optional.so i can match name to car list)
you can text it, PM it or email it. thanks
