Super Car Sunday Caravan Feb. 28th, 2010

REVISED PLANS AGAIN

He guys, its been a while since our last run to Super Car Sunday. They have since moved the location and this will be my first time to the new site. I heard the the new meeting spot is bigger and better then the old one and ferrari is going to be the Marquee this month. There is already almost 50 ferraris confirmed so as long as weather is good, its going to be a great meet. We will have to meeting spots:

6:00 AM at the Shell Gas station in Diamond Bar....3241 South Brea Canyon Road, Diamond Bar, CA 91765 This is off the Diamond Bar Blvd Exit from the 57 freeway. We will leave at 6:15 to meet up with the second group in Arcadia

7:00 AM at Pavilions Super Market in Arcadia...745 W. Naomi Ave, Arcadia, Ca. This is south of the 210 Freeway, Baldwin Ave Exit. We will leave at 7:15 for our final destination at 6100 Topanga Canyon Blvd, Woodland Hills, CA 91367 arriving around 8:00 AM

Weather is the only issue but it looks like we might be in luck. Let me know who's in, the drive up there is the best.

Please feel free to reach me on my cell phone if you are running late that day so we can make plans to meet up. (951) 640-3290 See you guys there!

I'll try to make it only if my clutch is done by then. I'm going to need all the clamping force I can get to try and keep up with Quik911 .

I drove up today to check out the new location - parking lot is huge, crowd was about 1/3 of a typical C&C Saturday, but there were some nice cars (F50 for one). Nice cars were still rolling in at 9 when I took off, it seems to start later than C&C and the old VCR. If this weather holds out, should be a great meet on the 28th

I think people show up later at this locatin. Last time I was there, nice cars still pulling in by 9:00am. Are you sure you want to go that early?

Hey Randy, glad to hear you are going to be able to roll out for this one! I will absolutely be there weather permitting. I have already contacted the 6 Porsche guys who normally hit the canyons with me. I told them to mark their calendars for the 28th, hopefully most of them can make it out. Our biggest hurdle may end up being the weather. I took a glance at the 15 day forecast, it appears there will be rain leading up to Sunday the 28th. I'm sure in about a week or so we will have a better idea of whether or not we will get a clear day.

Here is the address of the Topanga Westfield Promenade which is
the new Super Car Sunday location:

6100 Topanga Canyon Boulevard
Woodland Hills, CA 91367

From the 101 Freeway, Exit TOPANGA CYN BLVD NORTH/CA-27 N. Go North on Topanga for .8 Miles, location is on right side.

Looking forward to meeting some new 6 speeders, it should be fun!

Jay

FWIW, the end of month meet in January was HUGE with every car you could imagine. Cars were still rolling in when I left at close to 11am. The new site is so much better because the landlord actually wants us there and Auto Gallery is sponsoring as well. One piece of advice though: the hosts seem to have a zero tolerance for BS policy (burnouts, loud stereos, etc) so act accordingly so as not to lose this really great site.
