CA Festival of Speed in Fontana - April 11th
I'm not doing roll call but surprised that this annual festival is not in any events listed here.
CA Festival of Speed in Fontana - April 11th
April 10-11 - CA Festival of Speed in Fontana - FREE unless you want to drive the track.
I'm planning to go this one but not sure how's last years turnout is. Anybody going to this one?
Update:
Our group is meeting at Richie's Diner on Sunday April 11th at 8am for breakfast. Here is their address (major cross streets are Foothill off 15 fwy):
Victoria Gardens
8039 Monet Ave
Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91739
For those who don't want breakfast, meet us on Richie's lot around 9:30am for trek to the Speedway. Remember, we need 10+ cars for discount parking and 20+ cars for FREE parking.
Also, there is at least 2 caravans setting up to go to Richie's that I know of. One is from San Gabriel are Krispy Kreme (Azusa off 60 fwy) at 7:15AM and another one is from Corona Starbucks (15 fwy off Hidden Valley) at 7:30AM . Read this thread for update and locations.
See you then.

I'm actually in the process of organizing a breakfast and cruise for this event on another site. The details is not yet established but I will post it here once it becomes available. Maybe later today.

Still looking for a place that opens early enough so we can be at the festival by 10AM.
Btw, parking will be discounted if we can have 10 or more cars driving all together. I'm from Riverside crossing the 15 Freeway so we can meet with anybody coming from San Diego too.
Post from RL:
"We are looking for ways to attract more Porsche enthusiasts to the event, which is why we are approaching Porsche Clubs and Special Interest Groups. Typically there is a $10 parking fee for spectators and an additional $20 fee (per car) for the lunch time Track Tours. We are offering FREE parking for organizations that bring 20 or more cars in a group. In addition to free admission, we will have special Corral Parking next to Vendor Row. (Groups of 10 to 20 cars will get a 50% discount on the parking fee). Corral groups of 10 or more cars signing up for the lunchtime Track Tours will take their laps as a separate group. Our Hospitality Tent is located in the center of Vendor Row. You can have an information area set up in this area and, if you would prefer a separate area with your own canopy, that can also be arranged."

At the moment, I've got five Porsche's driving with me. Want to join us once we setup the breakfast place around Corona? That makes us 9 so one more we will be able to get parking discounts. That is if you join us....

It will be April 11 at 9AM at a breakfast joint then cruise to the event. So far I have 9 people that will cruise together to the event. The proposed breakfast place is Denny's in Corona, Ca. This way Ssmugen and the two 993's from San Diego can join.
This is an impromptu plan that I'm orgnanizing at another site. Here's the link: http://www.pcars.us/ca-festival-of-s...1th-t5715.html
