Recommendation to get factory tune ups? Porsche dealer vs Indy shop?

Anyone here can recommend me a place to get a 30k mi tune up on a 996TT in the socal area? I've got price quotes up to $2100!!! Thats insane! Is there independent shops that are Porsche specialists that do just as good a job as the Porsche certified dealers? Or can anyone recommend me a dealer that does a good job for a reasonable price?

Thanks Adam! Do they have a website? Is the 10K mi service he did on your 997TT for just a routine oil change? I'm guessing they'll change the spark plugs, coil packs, all fluids, etc etc. I'm wondering if the 10k, 30k, or 60k mi services they provide is the same routine checklist for tune-up you get at a Porsche dealership?

I called Vision Motorsports and they quoted me $1155. Is that a good price for a $30K mi tune up for spark plugs, oil change, filters? They say it'll take almost 9 hours to do it. Does it really take that long? I'm new to Porsche's but thats a really long time for a tune up! On my Supra i could do all that for about an hour myself!

You also want the front bumper removed and the radiators cleaned out. Call Newport Porsche and ask for Jon the serivce manager. Tell him Robert from the PCA Turbo Registry sent you.

I took my 997 to RSS/Stuttgart Performance in Costa Mesa for my 36k service. Had them do a brake fluid flush, change spark plugs, oil service at a pretty decent price compared to the dealership. Give them a call and ask for Brian.

Do they change the cabin filter, air filter, brakes pads like a 30K mi. factory tune-up? If you dont mind sharing but how much did that service for?
