POC Tribute to LeMans this weekend @ Ca Speedway Enduro Sat Check it out..



For those of you who are in town this weekend and want to check out some cool racing .. POC is holding its Tribute to LeMans race this weekend at Ca Speedway.. There is racing all weekend long.

The main Enduro ( 4 Hour) is being held on Saturday afternoon.
Race starts at 3;30 PM... There are also cup races all weekend long so be sure to come out and check some of the most exciting Porsche racing on the west coast.

GMG will be running a 2010 GT3 Cup in the main Enduro on Saturday and we are also running a few other cars in the Cup races throughout the weekend.

The exhaust on the car is the same system we use on the GT3 street cars.
Less the cats.. Its our own header system with (no cats) and the sport center section. Its nothing really exotic just proven in competition like our other GMG World Challenge parts..

It was a fun race and a great weekend.

We qualified second behind a 997RSR and ahead of another 997RSR.. Margin was less than .5 seconds.. Not bad for a little cup car

Had a great start to the race and took the lead around the 45 minute mark.
Had a tire blow between Nascar 1-2 @ 150MPH............ YUP that will get your attention - we just grazed the wall.. However the damn tow truck driver took 25 minutes to get the car back to the garage and unloaded..UGH!!!
We fixed the car and went out 35 minutes down..

Once back on the track with the car repaired we raced back as hard as we could..
Consistently running the fastest race laps overall and we set the fastest overall race lap when James got in the car at the 3 hour mark.
This was with a wounded car...

We ended up finishing 12th... ( I think) Had we had not lost 20 -25 minutes with the car getting it off the tow truck we would have been in contention to regain the lead ( based on our data the race would have come down to the last 2 laps) which would have been very exciting.

So goes racing!!

We had a great time congrats to the winning team and everyone who participated in this years Tribute to LeMans..
