Is there a cars and coffee in Irvine on 10/6?
I am going to be in the LA area visitng my son for the weekend and was wondering if the Irvine C&C was happening or any other events you'd recommend. Thanks!

Depends on if you are spectating or actually want to park in the exhibit area. If you are not planning on showing your car, then you park in the adjoining structure and you can get there a little later because you don't have to jockey for a spot in the main show area, which gets crowded by 630am.

A lot of the nice cars seem to leave early too. I got there around 8 a few times and it was quiet.
We should get a large crowd together and go there one Saturday and highjack the parking lot. Would have to get there early. Would be funny when they show up and see the most of the lot full of GT2s, GT3s, Turbos.

I guess if they don't know what exactly they are looking for, all they see is a lot of 911s; they can not distinguish the difference.
Lets do it anyway. It would be fun. We can then drive down to Newport or HB as a convoy and grab breakfast somewhere where they have parking.

You're right. Most people can't tell a $40k first year 997 from the latest twin turbo or GT3RS. Part of the blame is with Porsche for keeping the basic architecture intact but that is also part of their heritage and pride which makes a 911 the iconic car it is.
There are lots of cool places in Irvine to grub right afterwards with decent parking. We usually go to that plaza with the 85C coffee/boba and eat there. The parking on the inside doesn't get too crowded and the spaces are big. Lots of people go there after, apparently, as I've seen Lambos, Bentleys, and everything parked in groups there.
