Atlanta Porsche Dealers/salesmen recommendations?
Hi all,
I am seriously contemplating getting into a 911 in the very near future... could anyone recommend a dealer (Jim Elise or Hennessy) and also a sales man... I like salespeople that are very knowledgeable but don't try the hard sell.
Does anyone have any neg experiences with either dealer or service dept?

Well good luck Viv! I'm sure you'll love it....and if you don't get it, well hell...a 135 isn't exactly a bad consolation prize. Give me an update if you do end up getting one. You know I'm a Porsche fanboi.
I hope everything's well with ya and that the house is coming along.

Porsche Dealers
Opinions on dealers: Dealers almost always seem to be more expensive to deal with than conglomerate luxury car, independent shops. But I do enjoy having that long-term relationship if you are also going to get your car serviced there. That said, in this economy, I would think dealers would be much more flexible around price matching.
Hennessey: I've heard good things. Didn't buy my Turbo there, but their service has been excellent.
Ellis: Liked the sale guy I dealt with there, while shopping M3s. His name was Günter.
Motors Cars of ATL: Nice place; tons of eye exotic, and luxury eye candy. Liked the shopping experience there, but didn't buy (while shopping M3s or Turbos) because they didn't want to deal. Their thinking seemed to "we give great service, so you should be willing to pay more." If you buy a Lambo that may very well be true. I think they out source most of service on other brands.
Select Luxury: Purchased both the M3 and Turbo there. Low pressure. Drove a ton of cars. Solid pricing. Mike Goodall is the guy I dealt with both times.
Any time I buy used, so I know what I'm getting into, I get the car inspected by brand dealer, including dealer body guys, or body shop partnered with dealer.
Best of luck.
