Awesome pictures guys, No Ferrari's showed?

 

No Fcars. I saw a Testarossa on the way in Mandeville but no F's showed.

 

I made it to starbucks for a little while and got to see what (judging by the pics on 6sp) seems to be most of the cars, unfortunately I was still feeling pretty crappy from last weeks chemo and had to bail early.

I tried to catch up with you guys after getting a jump but didn't know the route changed. I ended up taking the original route on 22 to 55.

Strange sighting on 55 at the Ruddock exit...there were 3 state troopers with their lights on standing by the exit. It looked like they were expecting/waiting for something. They gave me a pretty mean stare as I passed by. I hope they weren't waiting around for us to drive by.

It was fun meeting you guys. I'm getting a battery maintainer so I won't have this problem again.

 

That is kinda strange. Wonder if we need to make a game plan when we meet up from now on rather than in advance.

 

That would help - a route, destination, alternative route, and a leader that has a contact list of numbers for texting changes. The other option is for everyone to bring a handheld "walkie talkie" and sync the channels before we leave. (a police scanner may also be useful as well as not necessarily "publishing" the route so as not to alert any unwelcomed Crown Victorias...wouldn't be surprised if the forums get trolled by law enforcement looking for a group event like this in an effort to get us to contribute "local funds to smaller municipalities"...i.e. speed traps)

 

It would definitely help to be able to communicate with everyone in case things need to change like yesterday. I knew how to get in touch with 3 or 4 others, but that was it...it just so happened that Spaceport and a few others could see us and chose to follow. I was also by myself and didn't want to attempt to text or post something while driving.

Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well Barret, but I was wondering why the Stig left before things got started. Good news is it's definitely not the last time we'll be doing this.

In light of the above info, we may want to keep dates and meeting places somewhat private as well. Maybe get the interests built up and then handle things by email or PM....and definitely not publish the routes.

All things considered, I had a lot of fun and enjoyed the ride and meeting the few of you that took the north turn. It turned out to be a good day weather wise, which was a nice surprise. I thought for sure we'd have to cut things short.

Now I'll be watching the weather closely for this Sunday's Hooter's event...Ryan, I'll let you know if I'll definitely be there as we get closer to the end of the week.

Hey, what's wrong with taking your eyes off the road and hands off the wheel on the highway to text? Teenagers do it all the time....so it must be OK!

You could always call "Q" and get some of those 007 goodies added to that Aston that would allow your car to communicate with you telepathically and then send the message from the onboard computer.

Here's an idea, next time we'll get a guy in a Black Trans AM to decoy and that way, the police will go after him and....wait a minute...that's been done....nevermind
