It's all good Drew, I was pulling your chain. The Belle Chasse Air Strip idea is fantastic. I would definitely be there if it doesn't conflict with work or Saints football.

 

I would love some action like that. I went on my bike to a mustang event on base and we got shut down . They said that they didn't like the idea of 100+ mph speeds on base. I have been to a few auto x events but the speeds are usualy kept down due to track lay out. If they are willing to lets run all out let me know where to sign up.

 

I talked to some friends about Belle Chase... odd that an airport is getting crappy reviews. They said the surface is not true and has several volleys that would be difficult at speed and may cause an incident.

I am looking at other locations that may be out of state... MS, AL... no further.
IIRC... Mobile, AL has an airfield also that has been used for drag racing.

Anyone down for a Time Attack event @ NPR?? that will be easy!!

The 1/4 mile track at No Problem Raceway is $240/hr which includes the EMT to be on site and there is also a $150 dollar track prep. This is for both lanes. There is no $150 charge if you rent on a Wed. or Friday afternoon. Minimum is 3 hours rental and a maximum of 20 cars. No weekend rentals.

Let me know who is in and what dates you are available.

What time are they open till? Isn't no problem in donaldsonville? That would be perfect for those coming from NO or BR. I'd be all about that for a wednesday or friday evening for three hours.

Did they give you a price for the road course?

 

I am off Nov. 4,5,and 6th and ready to go just let me know.

 

I was told its about $1500 for the entire day.

I work a 7 and 7 scedule so I am bored out of my mind most week days.

 

Has anyone checked out the airport in slidell? Will that work?

Weekdays are a no go for me. Sucks, I work six days a week. Unless it's in the evening time.

 

Even if we did it on a Sunday, for 3 hours it would only be about $45 per person with 20 people, and for 4 hours it would be about $55...My point is if you have 20 people show up, you're only saving $7 per person by doing it on a weekday (wednesday, friday)...so I vote for a Sunday

 

The manager said that weekends are not available.

The tentative date will be Nov. 6th 2:00 pm. (3 hours to start off with). Let me know who's in by Oct 26th.
