Best Detailing / Car Washes in New Orleans Area
Ok guys, I've been putting this off for too long and need to pay some attention to the stable.
Who do you use for regular car washes? Hand washes? Detailing services?
I have three cars that need more attention than I find I have time to give them. One is my pride and joy, but I still care enough for the others to get them a good wash. I don't mind doing it, but time just hasn't been on my side lately.
All suggestions welcome!

I always hear great things about Johnny's detailing on David Drive...never used them personally but my friend gave them his wife's Honda Odyssey that has never been cleaned (inside or out) and had a dent in the front bumper. It came back looking like new with the dent gone.

Met David at Davie's Sure Shine Auto Detailing (now FleetKlean) the other day and he did a quick wash. Despite being quick, there was a definite attention to detail that I would expect, so I'll be going back for a full detail at this shop soon. He's also a car buff, so we had lots to talk about.

FYI - I've learned a lot about detailing in the last few months and found that very few people actually know what they're doing. I did a lot of research and actually pooled together a couple of buddies' cars and recently had a detailer from Dallas come into town for over a week to take care of about 15 cars for us. He did everything from a good wash / minor detail to a full paint correction because of past bad habits.
Based on what I've learned, I will have him come back to town about every 8 months or so and do a foam gun, 2 bucket handwash myself in between his trips. The detailer was Brian Hare of Detailwerkz. He uses the Gloss-It line of products and the more research you do on them the more you will be blown away. Some of the before and after pictures don't even look real, but I have seen it in person and it is absolutely amazing.
You know those light swirls and scratches in the clear coat you see on dark cars? Yeah, those aren't supposed to be there and if you wash your car the right way, they'll never show up. If you have them already, then Brian can completely get rid of them and teach you how to do things properly.
So until there's a Gloss-It certified rep in town, I don't trust anyone and will be doing it myself.
