While that may be true, I don't think I want any part of a 750 hp 4 door sedan. My wife Valerie's 45th Bday is Thursday, so I can't leave until friday am whenever any group would like to leave.

while 750 may be my long term goal, I am thinking closer to 585 for the event... then again.. a 250shot of NOS may bridge that gap for 1 run... LOL.

Anyone else leaving from the DFW area that may want to caravan down?

Unhappy

1st day down and 2 more to go. It's late ( for me ) and I have been up since 5:30am.
Points:
1. Stock Mode, 93oct fuel, mid 70's temp humid, headwind, Sport mode, best speed was 160.xxx mph
2. Revo Mode, 105 fuel, high 80's-low 90's temp, crosswind, Sport mode, best speed was 168.xxmph
3. Check engine light off/on during the day with right side cam pos sensor faults again ( light went off before dealer had part in stock so I ran with out the repair )
4. I cannot help but feel that the sensor is not working therefore holding the performance back somewhat. Light is off tonight.
5. It is supposed to be cool mid 40's tomorrow morning and I have been running 105 all day today, so it should be pure unmixed 105 for tomorrows runs.
6. Took alot of pictures ( to be posted when I get back to Dallas ) favorite and most expensive: Porsche Gt1, Bugotti ???? < Not Veyron > Carerra GT, GT40, a couple Zr1's, a pair of Lamborghini's, MB CLS63, etc...
7. Top speed was Supra at 248.xxx 1st run, then 228.xxx before blowing its motor all over the track.
8. Drove friends GT2 to 188.xxx and experienced how smooth the Rs6 is in comparision.
Thats about it, I wish I could have said I broke into the 180's... but something is holding me back???
I'll be back out at the track at 730am tomorrow morning.... hopefully with better results!
more to follow....
Steve

3 days down and here are some points:
1. Drove my friends yellow cab RS6 2 times. Wondered why it was so smooth riding. I like the tight sports car feel. Was still a hoot to run 168 in a mile in that thing.
2. Got back in my GT2 and ran faster than my buddy did in my car. Thank God he didn't make me look bad, since I try hard to do that myself.
3. My top speed was just under 191 by a hair.
4. Friday was better. We were hot lapping the runs. It doesn't get any better than that.

Where's the darn pictures Stevo Revo??????

Audi painted it yellow, Stevo bought it, and wanted to give the car a little more discussion factor that being a normal Audi on the Mile. I think it worked. More people talked about it than any other car. Wait til he gets 750 hp in the car and we cry when he runs 200 with 6 bags of groceries in the back.

See you there!

Ben

Just got back. Had some good runs. My best run was 252.806 on Saturday. Turned up the boost a few psi and went back out only to have the tire come apart. I tried to borrow a fellow riders tire/wheel but had traction issues (wrong tire) Fastest run when I left was by Bill at 254.xxx

Some very nice hardware out there guys. Glad everyone was safe. See you in October.

Ben

252 mph! Congrats, nice certificate. Next time an officer pulls you over, just whip out that certificate and tell him, "Occifer but I AM 252 mph C-E-R-T-I-F-I-E-D!"

Captain Insano.......I like that

When there isn't a cross wind, it really is a very predictable uneventful steady pull without much drama. When my tire started coming apart on my last pass on Saturday, the wheel spun at the 3/4 mark, we went from 9000 rpm to 11380 rpm in 1 block of the log (0.1 second) and the back end of the bike stepped out. Much more of a pucker factor with that. Interestingly, we were only running 26 psi on a bike that we dyno up to 44, so if I could achieve traction and keep the front end down we have a lot more on the table.

I'm not a bike guy. Don't know what all that means. I am amazed at that speed for running down a mile. Geezus.
