just my $.02 but, based on last run......
faster= significant track or AutoX experience
faster does not = "I'm a great driver! I have a Viper/Z06/911TT, etc. I drive fast all the time, sometimes over 100 mph!"
Most of the guys in the "faster" group were guys who have spent time at the track in DE events. If you run PCA (white or red) Drivers Edge (yellow or red) you are probably in this group.
Add to that, most of the guys in the "faster" group were running high hp cars: Lambo LP640, Z06, 911TT, Modded C6......so hp does have something to do with it.
I am certainly not the judge or jury here, just my observations.........

We all did just fine in the PK cruise. You'll learn pretty quickly what group you want to fit into. Just drive how you feel comfortable and don't do anything too crazy to jeopardize the safety of yourself or anyone else. And as any good DE instructor will tell you, keep mind of what's going on in your mirrors! Never know when that Honda is creepin' up.

Hahaha, that vid never gets old.

I think I may take my wife's RX350 this time, so I don't feel compelled to chase Dario's Honda like I did last time. Or see if could beat my previous record of 190 on that nice downhill section on the way back with Andi drafting me.

Fast = Newbies and Vet's who are coming for the Drive itself. We will wait at every change of direction. We most likely will not need to pass within our group, but may pass slower cars during the drive. We will NOT have any off road(ers) and we will not have any police interaction. SAFE4NOW paced... I have only had 1 SMART car client tell me I was driving too fast ( NOTE: I was leading in a SMART car! ) and never told it was too slow.
Faster = 9/10 and 10/10th drivers. Driving like they stole it... passing wherever they want, when they want, how they want. Most likely will never know there was a police car chasing them, because they never looked back... Bara paced...
Just my opinion... everyone will have fun in either group.

Track experience with car to boot... check
That being said, can one start out in fast and move up to faster?
#57
Yes, you would actually just have to pull over and wait for them to catch up...
Fast Group will leave 10m-15m before the "Faster" group...
Either group will be fun!
