My new helmet - Arai GP-5W - just ordered!

Just ordered the Arai GP-5W in silver (like my 997TT) for some upcoming track days, too tired of using nasty rentals, time to be a big boy... tried on a bunch of helmets (Arai, Bell, HJC, etc) at Wine Country Motorsports at Infineon Raceway this weekend, and liked this one the best. Amazing fit, great visibility w/ the wider eye opening - this model (GP-5W) was designed specifically for closed cockpit racing. Can't wait to get back to the track!

Exact same one I bought a few weeks ago! You will love it! I also bought mine from Wine Country. Definitely my favorite one out of all the ones I tried on.

It was by far the best fit for me. Plan to break it in next weekend at Thunderhill.

have a few GP5's. arai makes the best helmets on the market imo. get a helmet bag and be careful with it, these lids are designed to absorb impact not deflect it like a motorcycle helmet. one good drop and it's worthless.

Great helmet. I need to get one. I just want to try it on first and make sure it fits.

Now you need a paint job. Mine is the third one down on the custom helmet page and is also an Arai.

Another driver with GP5, checking in. After having had SK5 for karting, I have to stick with Arai. Best helmet my head ever been in. Love it. Also custom painted.
