SHAWN C should be BANNED from tracking.....

......he showed up to Sebring this weekend with his Lotus Exige, and without telling anyone he installed a Supercharger! Shawn and I are at the same level as far as driving skill, but I usually pull away in the straights. The only reason I pull away in the straight is because my car has more power, not because I am a better driver.

Well this weekend, everytime we were mixing it up on the track I could not lose him on the straights. He just kept up with me, until finally in the pits he confessed!

SHAWN look out, MY GT3 will be here soon!!!!! I am going to install a JET ENGINE on that Thing!!!!

orlando, mike and shawn

fun seeing you guys in person...

when i get my r compounds watch out...

i got a good video of orlando and i going at it..
sorry didn't make it in the last session but mike tried my seats on they got stuck all the way back! took 20 minutes to loosen them up from the tracks

i saw Tom Kerr lose his brakes and go off on one turn

also have a good video of shawn as it took me more than a lap to catch him and i think it was only because he started to overheat with that new supercharger...(go german, they don't brake)

will get organized and get those posted..

Man, I've driven an Exige (actually many hours now) and they're nasty fast....I can only imagine what its like with a SC. That sector company seems to be the main tuner?

Orlando...me too! I was following Shawn on one of the 1st sessions and I thought WOW what the hell is wrong with my driving and my car! Shawn told me late on Sunday when I was talking to MKK62 in his pit. Thanks for the lunch too I owe you! You were running hard and fast...I'm always happy to point you by! My brakes were getting spongy. My RA1's are finally getting worn down some and between that and Bob Brooks giving me some pointers I think I got better this weekend. However so many instructors have told me so many totally opposite things about the driving line and braking I have been really confused.

MKK62, Tom's brakes were fine but his car has a ECU glitch and kept shutting off when run hard. It was throwing a code. Sorry about the seat getting stuck. Was something in the seat tracks not right? Thanks for coming up and introducing yourself!

Supercharger??? What supercharger??? Orlando man, you gotta quit standing behind your car while its running.... lol
All that white smoke that pours out of 911's is dangerous!

You need to take the advise that Tom Kerr (turbo Tom) told me.....dump the bull**** motul and super blue and go with the Castrol.... I have no more brake fade! BTW, thanks Tom for your advise!!!!!!!

Shawn, Enjoy your little time of glory we will see what happens when the GT3 comes into play!!

BTW,

Are we all set for the next Sebring event with Chin in 3 weeks????

Ha, Great videos. I started loosing power as the car got more and more heated up. The programing is running too lean. I am working on a cat bypass and R compounds this week. The ECU needs some tweaking. Should hopefully be back on track for Homestead everyone in?

Yep going in for a fluid change in a week to SRF Castrol. My brake pads are about done too. The Performance Friction PF97's lasted for 4.5 days. Pagid Yellows last longer and do not bit on intial braking quite as hard so I can modulate the Pagid even better. I might just go back to stock pads. I need to see was is more cost effective.

Those 2:29-2:34 laps times you guys are doing are awesome. I will have to take body parts off to lighten up my weight so I can be faster! Dang it I am heavier than you all and that damn Tiptronic does not help either....Fugit I am removing the 15lbs leg!!!!

MKK62, you can always ride with me for the full session or a few laps to compare or what ever. We all should ride with each other and help out that to me is always the fun part...to see what works for the other driver.

I will not make the Chin May 3-4 event. My wife and I had plans to leave for the Keys on May 4th so I could do the 3rd track day but the reservation did not work out so we are off to the Keys a day early.

Don't forget that the Chin June 14-15 Sebring event just went on line tonight for registration.....SIGN UP NOW!!!! Novice filled up in 10min!
