I have a set of 17" NT-01's on my Shelby 427 Cobra...275 and 315 sizes...they are not as sticky as hoohoo's but they do have good grip until they are about gone and will take a lot more heat cycles...however, my Shelby only weighs 2k pounds....you need some input from someone with a heavier car

i run nt-01 e30 m3 and e46 m3 on the track. they very good, consistent r-comps. they are pretty long lasting and dont need to shave them.

Did the tires blow up?........liked to hear some more opins.
Golly....wish we had more choices.....since tire makers pulled most of the wide stuff out of their lines......mis the MSCs......in tires for wider rear rims we've got Triple 8s and Nittos and.........what?

ive been using nt01 in my poc csx street class time trial car. for the money they are fantastic. good dry grip. give good feedback when breaking away. i drive over 2 hours each way to the track with no problems. im on the second set. the first set lasted 8 track days. my car weighs 3260 with me in it so almost full weight cayman s. i highly recommemd them.

NT-01 are the best bang for the buck R-compound out there. Tremendous rear grip. Not as fast or precise as a MPSC. But close enough to make you think twice about the $300-$400 price difference. Not good in the wet though.

For tires you can REALLY drive on the street, they are the most cost effective for lap time.

Agree on the 'fast & precise' MPSC.
If they were avail for the rear (wider than 295)....I'd buy em in spite of the cost......great tire (and servivable in the wet).

I love my NT01s, they have great grip and seem to last forever. I am on my second set and my first set lasted much longer than expected.

I've been reading on these for a few days now, and the consensus is that they are not very in the rain, although some reviews said that when new and with full tread they are decent, just not in standing water.
So, are they really that dangerous? would the R888 be a better option in Florida where the rain is pretty common?
Most of the reviews were in agreement that the NT-01 was better than the R888.
My car is not a daily driver and only used for weekends with a couple DE's per year.

Yes, R888 by far in changing weather (IE FLA flash floods). However on a dry surface or from a cost standpoint, the NT-01 is the better tire. R888 are as good as it gets short of a Hoosier Wet when it comes to wet traction.
