Nurburg VLN 24 hour
Wow what can i say just got back from the VLN at Nurburg what a blast!
We left the UK on Thursday last week and checked into our friends bar/hotel to soak up the amostphere which was electric. There was 6 of us rolling down in a 996 GT3 RS, Gallardo spider and the 997 Turbo which made for a great pic at the final destination.
The weekend comprised of various races including the classics which was dominated by the BMW M1 turbo = jesus that thing just ate the the track and sounded amazing - this was followed by a trip to fkk-oase for those in the know on friday night and a subtle return to the race on the saturday.
We meet loads of interesting people include to dudes from the UK who ordered a new GT3 RS on the wednesday and then drove to the ring and qualified in the intermedaries only to finish 12th overal and then drove the car back home to the UK - a true testiment to Porsche!
We ended up by complete chance gaining access to BMW's winning reception and had photos and drinks with the winning race driver and the director of BM's M division what a blast = we even managed to to sign the rear bumper of the GT2 M3 with our crews name to ensure the ratpac is immortalized in racing history.
Ill post up the pic's soon but just had to share.......
