18" forgestar f14s for track?

Has anyone used the f14s for the track? Any known issues with cracking or bending or dents? The 18s are pretty light and for the price it's hard to beat. Its either these or the oz alleggerita but I like the concave wheel design.

Any thoughts?

There are a set for sale in the Market right now. Mobonic is the user selling them and he had three sets with zero complaints. He's asking under a grand, check them out.

Ahh I apologize, I didn't realize what car you were putting them on. You can still rely on him for some good feedback on the wheels.

I went to Modbargains begining of summer to leave my deposit for KW V3 for my M3. They recommended me to buy a set of Forgestars for the track but I already have a set of BBS RG-Rs. They are made using the same method as BBS and Enkei so I think they should hold up to the track just fine.

There are plenty of guys running the Forgestar F14 18" setup on the track! This brand new lineup utilizes a combination of the best methods of forging and casting methods both in the same wheel. This is called Flow Form Casting, and is used by companies such as BBS and Enkei.

Flow Form Casting is a production procedure that turns the wheel (or rim section) over a special mandrel and three hydraulic rollers using tremendous pressure. The pressure and turning then force the rim area to form against the mandrel, creating the shape and width of the rim. During Flow Forming, the rim actually "flows" down to create the full rim width. During Flow Forming, pressure applied to the cast rim actually changes its mechanical properties, so its strength and impact values become similar to those of a forged rim. That translates to up to 15% less weight when compared to a standard cast wheel.

Forgestar wheels can be made in virtually any offset, whereas standard cast wheels come in a set offset. This allows you to dial in exactly how you want your wheels to sit (we can help you select the offset you need for the look your looking for). Having custom offsets allows for fitment of wider wheels in stock suspension and lowered vehicles. Forgestar wheels are designed specifically for your car and it's suspension setup, where cast wheels are designed for everyone and typically do not take in to account lowered suspension setups.

Available Offsets and Sizes
18x8.5 offsets from +26 to +50

18x9.0 offsets from +20 to +55

18x9.5 offsets from +26 to +60

18x10.0 offsets from +16 to +42

18x11.0 offsets from +23 to +55

18x12.0 offsets from +36 to +68

Weights
18x8.5 ET48 - 17.6 Lbs.
18x9.5 ET48 - 18.4 Lbs
18x10 ET42 - 18.2 Lbs.
18x12 ET68 - 20.0 Lb

Here are some pictures of some cars in action at the track with the Forgestar F14 for you to check out! I'll shoot you over a PM with more details!

What is the pricing on the above wheels for 9.0X18 front and 12.0X18 rear?

For a cast/flow formed wheel they should be much less than money a forged one piece, correct?

Are you more interested in the 18" or 19" setup for your 996 TT? It all comes down to preference when determining the wheel size and width. I've done for a 996 TT the 18x9 ET46 in the front and 18x12 ET46 in the rear and that was a flush and aggressive setup without any rubbing issues. If you're looking for a 19" setup you can go with the 19×8.5 in the front and 19×11 in the rear as well. I!'ll shoot you over a PM with more details! Here's a few pics of a 996 TT with the 19" setup as described above in the meantime for you to check out.

definitely 18" and I'm guessing 6piston brakes will not fit behind any 18" or could offsets be adjusted accordingly?

The Forgestar F14 are made with BBK clearance in mind. What is the rotor size on the 6pot kit? So long as its 355mm or under you should be fine.
