On Friday, May 6th, we closed down the shop to kick-off THAWOUT 2011.
We met at the shop at 6am to travel down to Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC to enjoy a day on the track as private members of the Palmetto Motorsports Club.

A solid group of enthusiasts in an array of European vehicles participated in our GMP Performance Track Day.

The APR Motorsports team was our special guest and pro driver Ian Baas offered ride alongs in the Grand Am VW GTI.

We had wonderful weather for the morning sessions but soon the weather changed and we were hit with a sudden rain shower. We made the best of it as the storm passed over right at the same time as the lunch hour break for corner workers. The storm lifted and the track started to dry making for a very fun run session. The day wrapped up with everyone sporting a big grin from the days high-speed festivities.
